The Vision
Our client’s vision was simple: to restore and re-create Tower Lodge as a contemporary, modern yet incredibly unique destination, paying homage to its past esoteric character.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
In the tradition of an authentic Basque Country village, Spicers Tower Lodge draws people together in a vibrant celebration of epicurean discovery. Featuring warm, earthy textures and hues that pay homage to the surrounding landscape: floors lined with handmade Mexican terracotta tiles, thick adobe rendered walls, high ceilings and cloistered walkways, along with late 19th century French coach house entrance doors.
In collaboration with Spicers Retreats, SDA created this vision through the restoration, addition and interior design of its 14 suites, each with its own unique design and interior detailing. Common areas such as reception, waiting, lounge, dining/bar/restaurant, outdoor dining terrace, back of house, conference room and pool were also meticulously re-imagined and re-designed.
