Just Teezn Hair & Beauty

Located adjacent a busy entry to Charlestown Square, Just Teezn Hair & Beauty sought to create a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the typical shopping centre. As soon as you step inside the door, you are taken away to a calming place, both through built form and experience. The former dark, cavernous and encapsulating space in which they previously occupied has been transformed in this new space to be light, open, airy and welcoming. The fresh white walls combined with touches of natural timber and soft hues of colour, instantly gives a sense of calm and relaxation.

Natural elements of hanging plants set amongst a grid of pendant lights creates a beautiful shadow effect throughout the space, linking back to tranquil spaces of the outside world. Practicality and storage were two big ‘must haves’, provided in abundance through carefully detailed and constructed joinery elements set across the back of the salon, both hiding and displaying the necessities of their everyday operations. Just Teezn Hair & Body encapsulates experiential design, creating a space to both work and escape, appreciate and enjoy.
